Fabula extra virgin olive oil IGP toscano
We have bottled the taste of TUSCANY |

A unique and inimitable product, like the earth from which it is produced.
Our Extra Virgin Oil is made exclusively from Tuscan olives and is protected and guaranteed under the production regulations of Oliva Toscano Indicazione Geografica which not only requires quality and local produce but also that all the phases of production, extraction and packing are completed within the boundaries of Tuscany.

The olives are grown on the hillsides in order to take full advantage of the fresh air and naturally pebbly clay soils which are particularly important in obtaining the typically fruity taste of Tuscan oils.

The olive groves are worked following the rules and regulations of organic farming

The principal olive varieties are Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio. The mixing of these varieties permits an excellent blend of constant high quality over the years.

The prima epoca harvest heavily influences the oil yield whilst gently improving the full aroma and antioxidant characteristics.

Extra virgin olive oil is a natural condiment and its use is essential for maintaining a correct diet. It is rich in oleic acid (mono-saturated) which help to reduce the levels of "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and not those of the "good" cholesterol (HDL).

Above all, a good extra virgin olive oil must be of a low acidity. Our oil is ideal served with both fresh and cooked food; it can be used frugally because only a little is needed to bring out the flavours of salads, fish, legumes and minestrone.
Due to the high content of antioxidants, it is also recommended for frying as its properties and nutritional values remain unchanged even at high temperatures.

Nature can be a valid help to our beauty and well-being and extra virgin olive oil is rich in essential substances such as squalene, phytosterols and tocopherols which are extremely compatible with our own skin's acidity. Various recipes are available for those who would like further information.
