The Montebelli farm and all its products are certified  bio-organic.

Our care and our effort are continuously aiming to preserve the natural setting as it’s without artificial pushing in order to produce more and without interfering with its natural course: we harvest whatever the nature gives us and somehow we feel that the land responds and appreciates our respect as year after year the production is always excellent both in quantity but above all in quality.

We have chosen to take the manual ancient method of harvesting, which gives Montebelli three red wines: Fabula, Fabula Riserva both DOC Monteregio di Massa Marittima and Acantos IGT Toscano.

The Veronelli’s  wine guide, recognised world wide as a an independent and impartial guide, has included Montebelli’s wines since many years.  In it’s mst recent 2008 guide-book, Montebelli scored respectively 87 for the Fabula, 88 for Fabula Riserva and 91 for Acantos.

We have four different type of olive trees and the olives are milled together giving an excellent and characteristic taste to our extra virgin olive oil.

We complete the range of our products with the Grappas and the Passito .
To obtain the Grappa we send the grape’s dregs to a distillery in the north of Italy specialised in small production and that gives us the guaranty that only our dregs are distilled to produce Grappa and Grappa Riserva. The Riserva is the same grappa but spends 24 months in barriques barrels.

The Passito comes from grapes that we leave on the vine for 30/40 days to dry naturally and it’s then pressed and stored in wooden keg for at least 24 months or until our oenologist decides that it’s ready to bottle.

Last but not the least our kitchen garden and orchard is used on a daily bases by Montebelli’s chef. This translates into true flavour for our vegetables, tomatoes, legumes and fruits - flavours that we thought were for ever lost.
